The Monarch Junior
A Resource for Parents of Children with Acquired Brain Injury
The Monarch Junior offers information and resources specifically related to child and parent topics to help survivors along their journey. It is a booklet that answers parents’ questions regarding what to expect after their child’s injury, for example, challenging behaviours, the return to school process, and the impact the injury may have on the family unit.
The Monarch Junior was written by rehabilitation professionals and parents of children with brain injuries, so the information is relatable to survivors and their families. As life after a brain injury can be overwhelming, this book also describes the service providers you will likely encounter throughout the rehabilitation process, and also describes the diagnostic imaging process that will help provide details of your child’s condition.
This publication provides information about financial support options to help your child pursue life goals and higher education.
