Going Tobogganing? Don’t forget your helmet!

Helmets are an important defense against head injury when tobogganing and sledding

Kids are now used to wearing helmets while skating, skiing and snowboarding. It is uncommon for kids to wear helmets while tobogganing, but did you know that in Ontario alone, approximately 510 people per year – most between the ages of five and fourteen - end up in emergency departments for tobogganing related head trauma?

Helmets are considered a frontline defense against head injuries.
