7th Annual Helmets on Kids
The 7th Annual Helmets on Kids event will be held on June 18, 2008 at St. Pius X School. Over the past 6 years,the Helmets on Kids Community Partnership, organized by Barbara Legate, has provided over 6000 helmets to needy children. The partnership provides education and awareness respecting bicycle helmet use. This project is intended to put a helmet on the head of every child in London who needs one.
This year’s event hosts guest speaker, Barry Phelan.
In addition to supplying helmets, the program includes a videotape presentation and educational material for distribution at local schools. The current community partners for the Helmets on Kids Community Partnership include:
