When Mike was 12 years old, he was hit by a car on Pelee Island which left him with a brain injury.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of his accident, Mike decided to raise funds for the Brain Injury Association by walking from London, ON to Leamington, ON and then take the ferry from Leamington to Pelee Island. He was be on Pelee Island on the actual day of his accident, May 27 - 40 years later. Mike's family and friends were instrumental in the planning, implementation of the walk as well as obtaining pledges.
Since his inaugural walk in 2012, Mike has walked each year to communities including Port Stanley, Stratford and Glencoe
All proceeds collected support the programs and services of the Brain Injury Association of London and Region.
The tremendous success of Mike's Walk was possible due to the support provided to Mike by his family and friends.
A very special thank you to
