Helmets on Kids Community Partnership

The 10th annual Helmets on Kids event will be held on June 16, 2011 at Lord Elgin Public School. Over the past 10 years,the Helmets on Kids Community Partnership, organized by Barbara Legate, has provided over 14,000 helmets to needy children. The partnership provides education and awareness respecting bicycle helmet use. This project is intended to put a helmet on the head of every child in London who needs one.

In addition to supplying helmets, the program includes a videotape presentation and educational material for distribution at local schools. The current community partners for the Helmets on Kids Community Partnership include:
