As many of my clients struggle daily with acquired brain injuries, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that such an injury can have, not only on those injured, but on their families and friends too. As such, I understand and appreciate the importance of an organization like the Brain Injury Association of London and Region (BIALR). The BIALR provides support to those in need through its peer support mentoring program, the annual BIALR Conference, and Mike’s Walk, to name only a few of the resources available. I first became involved with the BIALR through my capacity as a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. I had the good fortune of chairing the Helmets on Kids Committee for 5 years, during which time thousands of helmets were distributed to children in need throughout London and the surrounding area. Having now been welcomed to the Board, I am excited to bring my passion, energy, and creative perspective to the BIALR.
